got this weird problem with my car when i turn it off and open the door the radio just keeps going for like 15 mins before it finally shuts off doesn't even matter if the door is open or closed also the dome light doesn't turn on when i open the door even if i press the button for it i've had cars before where the door jamb switch goes bad and i just swap it out easy fix but this one i can't even find the switch it's like hidden somewhere anyone know where they put it or had the same problem what's the fix

I can imagine the hassle! but to answer your question, the switch should be inside the door latch assembly

Sounds like your Chevy's got a mind of its own with that radio! haha. you know, that dome light issue points to the same culprit, it's the Body Control Module (BCM) or the door latch assembly

Sounds like the sensor in the latch isn't saying it's open. I think this could be a problem with the latch switch or a misread by the BCM input
