Have to replace our '18 Chevy Malibu 1.5T and I just want some quick confirmations, coil 1 = driver's side and coil 4 = passenger's side? Numbered 4 -3 -2 -1 if youre facing the engine.

Coil 1 is the one on the passenger side and then coil 4 is on the drivers side

So, when facing the engine from the front of the car, the cylinders are arranged from left to right as 4-3-2-1.

Well, everyone else is right, so I won't repeat what's be said multiple times, I do have one question though. it's a 2018 malibu, why are you replacing the coils so soon. You drive a lot or is there a problem.

Also, since you're taking out the coils, might as well replace the spark plugs. No need to do the same thing twice.

Yeah, coil 1 is passenger side, coil 4 is driver's side when you're looking at it head-on. Swapping the plugs too while you're in there is just smart.
