When do you get an oil change?

7500 miles is not bad but i always aim to get an oil change near 5000 miles. Not that with 7500 you'll blow up your engine, it's just a safe precaution.

@realitybites I change oil every 5000 miles, but for cars that aren't often used, it's better to change oil every year, even when it hasn't reached 5000 miles

7500? nah, I think that's marketing fluff. If you care about your engine, do it every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, especially if you drive hard, tow, or face extreme temp. oil's cheap, engines aren't, trust me I know, so I don't wait for a light or a sticker to tell me when to protect a $5,000 motor.

Theres too much to consider, every 5k miles is the most ideal though. At least for me, havent't had any problems with the oil in decades and I've got 3 rides.

Depends on the oil. If it's fully synthetic, can go for even 12500 miles.
