anti theft light

I drive a 2003 Chevy Malibu. When I turn the car on the anti theft light comes on. Dealer replaced the cylinder but it still happens just not every time. Anyone else encounter this and find a solution?

Had the same issue with my niece's '03 Malibu after changing the battery. The anti-theft light came on and the car wouldn't always start. We fixed it by doing a reset. We just turned the key to ON for 10 minutes, did that three times, and it worked. Some say a weak battery or loose wire can also cause problems.
