Coolant leak and white smoke

I saw white smoke coming from my 2018 Malibu's tailpipe after it was parked for a bit. The coolant was super low. I brought it to the dealer, and it turns out there's a leak in a part linked to the exhaust, not the head gasket. Anyone else had this happen or know how to spot these leaks sooner?

I had a similar scare once and I honestly thought it was the head gasket too, but it was just that pipe corroding near the turbo. Lol.

That happenss if a coolant line or intake-related component near the exhaust develops a leak, white smoke shows up when coolant hits hot metal . Early signs include a sweet smell, puddles under the car or consistently low coolant levels. Keeping an eye on those and inspecting hoses and connections near the exhaust can help catch it before smoke appears.
